May Cook Heart of Gold
The May Cook Heart of Gold award is given every year to a CASA volunteer that has demonstrated exceptional service and dedication to our children. Created in honor of CASA volunteer and former foster child May Cook, the award embodies her abounding commitment to CASA children. May served as a CASA for 6 years before passing in 2000. Because of her experience, she knew first hand the position foster care children find themselves in. She gave 100% to the children in her care just as our many CASAs today.
